Six modules, roughly five guided hours plus optional office hour.
1. Absence map
Plot first sick day, certificate hand-in, and expected return before reading any statute summary.
2. Medical certificates
What an AU typically evidences, how extensions work, and where digital submission changes the choreography.
3. Pay continuity basics
Educational overview of Entgeltfortzahlung checkpoints and when social-insurance partners enter the picture.
4. Employer dialogue boundaries
Questions managers may ask, topics that stay private, and sample notes that stay factual.
5. Return Conversations Lab
Role-play for phased re-entry, reduced hours talk, and documenting capacity without diagnosing.
6. Edges & referrals
How to recognize dispute territory and when Cognitiveclouds steps back for counsel or medical advice.

Participant notes
Module 4’s sample Slack message was the piece I reused immediately. Module 3 on pay continuity felt brisk — I paused the video twice.
Honestly the Edges & referrals module was the most reassuring: they admitted when a scenario left their lane.
FAQ
Is this legal advice?
No. Cognitiveclouds provides educational consultations and training. Binding advice for your specific dispute requires a qualified attorney.
Do I need German fluency?
Materials are in English with German key terms explained. Internal workplace documents in German can be discussed, but we do not certify translations.
What is a real limitation of this program?
We do not model complex parallel cases involving multiple employers, cross-border social security, or contested dismissals during illness. Those need specialist counsel beyond this curriculum.
How long do I keep access?
Self-paced modules remain open for ninety days after kickoff. Live office hours are scheduled during the first five weeks.
